The Holidays Have Arrived at PICT!

The PICT team is so excited to share our most recent project.

PICT has partnered with PayPal to create a commerce-enabled holiday lookbook curated by the lovely Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific. The lookbook is designed to drive highly-qualified traffic to top luxury retailers Lancôme and Saks Fifth Avenue who leverage PayPal’s payments platform.

Blair used PICT to tag her favorite must-gift goodies from Lancôme and Saks Fifth Avenue. From fall’s essential lip color to every girl’s It-bag, Blair’s guide has it all!

PICT’s technology enables consumers to view all relevant shopping information including retailer, product name, and price while browsing Blair’s lookbook. Likewise, PICT presents a “shop” button to consumers immediately upon encountering an image, allowing them to click to purchase a product instantly and easily.

Now that the holidays are right around the corner we’re so excited to see how our blogger community gets creative with PICT! From gift guides to wish lists the possibilities are endless.

Introducing PICT 2.0

Over the last six months, we have partnered with thousands of brands resulting in millions of shoppable photos (or as we call them, PICTs) created. Today, we’re excited to announce the next evolution of the product…

PICT 2.0 introduces PICT to publishers and integrates our publisher community with our brand partners via the PICT Bank; the world’s first commerce-enabled visual content distribution platform.

Now, like brands, publishers can use the PICT App to turn their photos into storefronts. And they will earn a commission on each sale they drive. PICT-approved publishers can start creating these monetizable PICTs by snapping or uploading photos, tagging the products in their photos from a catalog of over 20,000 brands, and publishing them on their social channels, blog, or site. To monetize their content, publishers no longer need to solely rely on links and banners, which don’t perform well in today’s mobile world. Instead they can leverage PICT to turn their beautiful photos into a monetizable, shopping experience that is inherently optimized for both mobile and web consumption.

Beyond bringing the PICT App to publishers, today we’re also opening the PICT Bank, where brands are able to release PICTs directly to publishers. The PICT Bank gives publishers immediate access to newly created PICTs and the ability to earn commission every time they share a PICT that results in a sale. By leveraging our network of more than 1,200 bloggers and fashion influencers, brands that utilize the PICT Bank have the ability to reach new audiences and gain exposure.

In the coming weeks, brands including Warby Parker, Need Supply Co., Steven Alan and many others will be rolling out holiday collections through the PICT Bank. If you are interested in featuring your brand in the PICT Bank and enabling thousands of publishers to share your PICTs across the web, you can learn more information here or get in touch with us at

And, if you’re a Publisher and would like to check out PICT, please request an invite here.

Happy Shooting,

The PICT Team

Introducing, PICT.

For the last few months, we’ve been working with a hand selected group of brands — from billion-dollar companies to individual Etsy sellers – to find out exactly how and why PICT can be a valuable tool to their bottom line. And today, we’re excited to announce the result of that experience with the official release our private beta. Words can’t describe the gratitude we feel for their adoption of our product and their ongoing feedback.

For those of you who haven’t heard of PICT, PICT is a mobile and web application that allows brands to create content-rich, shoppable photos. These content-rich photos, or ‘PICTs’, are shared by brands to their social networks where they can then be shopped by the world. By integrating with a brand’s eCommerce platform, PICT enables simple product tagging and smart analytics. And these analytics allow brands to see which photos and products are generating the most revenue and driving the most engagement.

The features we’re releasing today include:

  • A shiny new iPhone App - We’ve done a complete overhaul of our app to make it faster, smoother, and more responsive. And we’ve given it a full aesthetic makeover too, so it’s not just smart, it’s sexy too.

  • PICT Photos are Shoppable *Inside* the Facebook News Feed - In the same manner that you can tag a friend in a Facebook photo then see that friend tagged within the Facebook news feed, PICT allow brands to tag their products in photos and let the world shop those photos from within their Facebook news feed.

  • Expanded eCommerce Integrations - PICT is now integrated with Etsy, Shopify, Magento, Demandware and a host of other eCommerce platforms to allow for simple product tagging and insightful analytics.

Why private beta? We’re releasing PICT in private beta so that we can monitor the use and value of the product in a controlled fashion to ensure that it’s serving its purpose, regardless of the size of the brand using it or the systems it runs on. If you haven’t done so already, please request an invite. We’re hoping to accommodate as many brands as we can!

We’re elated to announce that we’ve raised $1.4 million from Lowercase Capital, Forerunner Ventures, Opus Capital, Angelpad, 500 Startups, Gary Vaynerchuk, Scott Belsky, Steven Alan, Seth Berman, and other incredible angel investors, who have all contributed tremendously to help us get to where we are at today.

Lastly, none of this would be possible without our team’s talent and dedication. We’re so proud and honored to be associated with them. We work hard and have a ton of fun doing it. And we’re growing, so join us.

This is just the beginning, we’ll have more exciting features and news coming soon. So stay tuned.

Brent & Kele, Founders
